The main difference with constant heat sealers and impulse bag sealers is the heat source.  They both have heating elements which use electricity to heat the sealing device.  However, the impulse sealer only uses a brief pulse of electricity to provide a high level of heat for a few seconds.  The constant heat provides the ability to seal a heavier bag.  They are used for the sealing of foil, mylar or poly cellophane bags.  The impulse heat sealers are ideal for heavy duty applications that require higher temperatures such as the sealing of plastic lined, foil and gusset bags.  All the double impulse heat sealers can seal a variety of bags that are 10 mil to 20 mil thick, which makes them perfect for high volume production.
